Pharmaceutical insurance

Adderia protects you in the event of a drug injury through Pharmaceutical Insurance

Pharmaceutical insurance is an insurance scheme specifically created to protect patients who may have suffered harm or side effects due to their use of medicines.

We at Addeira Pharmaceuticals AB have taken the initiative to join Läkemedelsförsäkringen to cover any damage that may occur due to the use of our medicines. This also means that we as a company are responsible for complying with the Swedish Product Liability Act or other compensation regulations.

Pharmaceutical insurance covers claims up to a certain amount. This means that if an injury or side effect occurs due to our medicines, the insurance will cover the costs incurred up to the amount agreed in the policy.

Who is covered by the insurance

Anyone who has received medicines in Swedish healthcare, participated in clinical trials or purchased medicines sold by pharmacies in Sweden or by shops with a license to sell non-prescription medicines that are affiliated to Läkemedelsförsäkringen, and believes they have suffered an injury from medicines, has the right to make a report to Svenska Läkemedelsförsäkringen AB and get the opportunity to be assessed. Medicines purchased over the internet are covered if the company behind the site has a license to conduct retail trade in medicines under the Act (2009:366) and has notified its intention to conduct internet trade to the Medical Products Agency.

Please note that not all suppliers of licensed medicines are covered by pharmaceutical insurance. In order for you to be covered by our insurance, we must be able to trace the purchase of the medicine to Addeira Pharmaceuticals. More info on at lff.se
